13.01.01: Le Plaisance, rue d'Alésia / rue Raymond Losserand
Not really that far from my apartment, but up to this point the most "remote" part of Paris I'd been to. We met Polly to go to the Vanves flea market, right along the southwestern edge of the city. The market itself pales in comparison to the immense labyrinth of quasi-streets at Clignacourt (which I'd been to in November with Oriana and her step-brother), but it makes for it by being a much more authentic flea market -- used, abused, and cheap items of all sorts, not the anique dealer-y scene going on at Clignacourt. I could've made off with much more of a killing than the two pocket books I wind up buying (Jewish humour in French?).
