05.03.01: Le Flor Fina, rue St. Martin / rue Notre Dame de Nazareth
Yet another after-work search for the perfect place to hole up at on the way to Yiddish (I suppose there's some element of fantasy of finding the one that I would go to each week). The troisième still seemed a little underexplored to me, and being so close to Yiddish, I figured it was the prime candidate for an out-of-the-way place to do some reading and to distend after a day of teaching. But a slightly-seedy section of the Grands Boulevards - not to mention the "commerce" in the rue St. Denis -- made most choices seem unattractive. I manasge to find this nondescript place on the main thoroughfare south from one of the arches that mark the late-18th century northern edge of the city.
