18.01.01: Le Valois, rue de Monceau / avenue de Messine
It's not often you get a reason to trek out to the swanky-dull huitième, but when your computer starts spontaneously shutting off more than once a week, it's time to get it fixed - several times, if the staff are willing. The Apple repair centre is actually just off a terrific market street where I nearly crashed, the rue Poncelet. All sorts of expensive real estate in this part of town, in fact, including a dull café, just outside super-swank the Parc Monceau, and a stone's throw from the Turkish Embassy. I got through a bit of Le Procès, and some attitude from the waiter.
