04.06.02: Bistrot 48, rue Daguerre / rue Fermat
I had been prowling the 14e getting more of the cafés photgraphed, and sort of loitered for awhile outside one on a small triangular square (no better description, I swear) in a quiet nook of an intersection on the other side of avenue du Maine. It seemd to have a Portuguese theme or clientele going on (I know they were watching the Portuguese football team in there), but even with my plans for Coimbra now set I couldn't quite get myself to go inside, and wound up stopping closer to home -- well, my old home -- for a demi and the newspaper at a very friendly place about halfway down the rue Daguerre.
