23.02.01: Le Bouquet, rue Boulard / rue Daguerre
It turns out one of the best ways to get in a café stop is to do laundry. Now, I've been doing laundry in this town since I got here; but maybe it took a second Dostoyevsky to keep me from just going home to wait for the clothes to be done. Besides, I wasn't much likely to spend as much at the many nondescript (and thus highly-authentic?) dives in my neighborhood. This one sits just across from the pedestrianized block of the rue Daguerre, a surprisingly funky street near my house. Well, not really any more funky than anywhere else, but lively and animated in an otherwise sedate part of town. Works for me.
