05.04.02: L'Agio, rue du 4 Septembre / rue du Choiseul I stopped here after a session at the BN, possibly the first since receiving my microfilms from Oxford. Not a very distinctive café by any means, but this does rank as one of my favourite photos. The passage right nearby also ranks as one of my favourite, although I'll admit to not having been to most of them. But the Passage Choiseul featured one of the only places to get a decent bagel in this city beyond the Marais. I'm sure there's a Parisian just waiting to tell me where else I could get one, and frankly it wasn't too high a priority anyway, since there were plenty of other fine bread products, to say the least. But old habits die hard, and this sandwich shop made a day at the BN all that much more palatable.
