25.09.01: Le Capitole, rue Réamur / boulevard Sébastapol People have mental blocks of all kinds, and mine seems to be the Tuesday closing of the Centre Pompidou. Typical French managment - no rhyme or reason to what gets be closed when. Fact is, now that the rentrée scolaire is in full swing and the city back up to speed, the queue for the library there is simply unendurable. Riding back home, then, I pick up a copy of Le Monde (the evening paper...) and settle in across the street for a smokey session at one of the mega-cafés on the Boulevard Sébastapol.
