21.05.01: Café des Arts, rue Lacepède / Place de la Contrescarpe
It seems like it was the soirée I had at my place when Tanya was visiting that solidified the lecteur social circuit. Until then, we weren't a terribly cohesive group: Sue, after all, had a French boyfriend, Pollie was playing the serious grad student, and Mike was aloofness defined; Ken was the only consistent presence. And yet this was probably the first time we managed to all go out for a drink after work, now that the year was almost over and I was due to fly back to America for a couple of weeks soon. I think it was Vince who suggested the venue, which, despite the Häagen-Dazs next door, worked just fine.
